Garnet has been revered for millennia as the stone of lovers, loyalty, affection, passion, victory over enemies, blood; as well as a blood cleaner, and restorer of blood. It varies in color, and may be: pink, purple, red, orange, yellow, green, brown, black, or even colorless. However, most Garnets are pink to dark red (almost brown). They range from a 7 to a 7 ½ on the hardness scale. It gets its name from the seeds of the Pomegranate fruit; for which they most commonly bear a resemblance to both size and color.
Garnets have the ability to heal the heart and the lungs, promote strengthened sexual energy, strengthen bonds of friendship, aid in starting ‘new’ manifestations of the heart, retrieve past life memories, and protect the wearer from unwanted energies.
